Statement Condemning Intrusion of Drones Into DPRK Airspace
In a gross violation of the DPRK’s sovereign airspace, the Republic of Korea flew drones dropping anti-DPRK propaganda over Pyongyang three times during the first two weeks of October.
These drone flights contravene international law which specifically forbid aircraft or flying objects to fly in the territorial space of another country without permission.
The APRCFSKP expresses condemnation of these drone flights which, sadly, are the latest in series of aggressive provocative acts instigated by the militaristic puppet Yoon government.
These provocative acts include the dropping of propaganda leaflets from balloons, dangerous expansion of joint US-ROK military drills, (which include practising invasion of the DPRK) the basing of the latest US submarines in Busan port, US B-1B bombers flying over the Korea Peninsula and a joint US-ROK declaration to upgrade the foundation of their military alliance from conventional to nuclear weapons.
APRCFSKP members admire the restraint with which the DPRK has responded to these gross provocations under the wise leadership of Respected Leader Kim Jong Un.
A cautionary lesson can be learnt from the fate of the oppressed people of Gaza who, after years of extreme provocation, responded 7 October 2023 with a brief incursion into Israel. Since then the USA has funded a $17.9 billion genocidal destruction of the Gazan people, schools, housing, hospitals and infrastructure. Despite unbearable provocations over many decades, the DPRK has not fallen into this trap.
APRCFSKP stands firm solidarity with the people of DPRK in their resistance to American hegemony.
