APRCFSKP Delegation's First Visit to Pyongyang

The Asia Pacific Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People (APRCFSKP) delegation met with the Chairman of the Korea Asia Pacific Exchange (KAPE) Pak Kyong Il at a friendly dinner in Pyongyang, Tuesday (16/4).

This is the first meeting after the health crisis hit the world. This is also the first meeting after ARPCFSKP was founded to replace the previous organization, the Asia Pacific Regional Committee for Peaceful Reunification of Korea (APRCPRK), at the end of last February.

During the meeting, the APRCFSKP delegation led by Executive Bureau member and Director of the Public Information Bureau (PIB) Teguh Santosa expressed the organization\'s commitment to continue improving the quality of the organization\'s relations with Korea and the Korean people.

During the meeting, Teguh was accompanied by APRCFSKP Executive Secretary Javed Ansari and APRCFSKP member Metha Matkaho who is also the Chair of the Thailand-Korea Friendship Association. Also present were patrons of the Thailand-Korea Friendship Association Songchit Pullarp and his son Watnatee Pullarp as well as Deputy Chair of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association Subashi Shrestha and Chair of the Indonesian Juche Study Group Teuku Rezasyah.

Before the dinner, the APRCFSKP delegation in Pyongyang attended an international seminar on Juche, holding a meeting with KAPE Vice Chairman Kim Kwang Il and KAPE Secretary General Hwang Sung Chol.

A number of plans for future activities such as a meeting in Nepal in July and an online meeting to be organized by Egypt in June were also discussed.

During the meeting, KAPE Vice Chairman Kim Kwang Il specifically expressed his thanks and appreciation for the role of the Indonesia-Korea Friendship Association led by Teguh Santosa during the health crisis. During that crisis, Indonesia hosted and organized eleven meetings, both online and hybrid. This keeps the wheels of the organization turning and friendship with the Korean people continues to grow.
