October 04:
In October 2007, Second North-South Summit Meeting was held and a declaration for the improvement of North-South relationship for peace, cooperation, mutual respect in achieving common prosperity was adopted, thus providing a springboard to develop the North-South relations to a higher stage.
The October 4 Declaration, a program for implementing the June 15 North-south Joint Declaration which opens a bright future for national reunification indicates the most correct way for boosting the reconciliation and unity and exchange between North and the south ushering in a new phase of independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the banner of By Our Nation Itself! October 4 Joint Declarations followed by Historic North south Joint Declaration on June 15, 2000 in Pyongyang was a milestone on the way to achieve mutual cooperation, independent and peaceful reunification of Korea by the Korean people themselves.
Converting North-south relations into those of mutual respect and confidence, putting an end to hostile military relations and securing dente and peace on the Korean peninsula, changing the existing armistice mechanism into a lasting peace mechanism, bringing about balanced development of the national economy and common prosperity and others stipulated in the declaration are all practical problems of key importance in developing the inter-Korean relations, accomplishing the independent reunification and achieving peace and prosperity.
That is why world progressive organizations and peoples, on this occasion, are organizing several events like symposium and photo exhibition on the devotion and immortal exploits of the Great Comrade KIM JONG IL, who provided the North-South Joint Declaration, and they also send solidarity messages to the respected His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the DPR of Korea.
These activities encourage the Korean people in their patriotic struggle for opening a new bright prospect for independent reunification and peaceful prosperity.
Let us send a solidarity message to H.E. Marshal KIM JONG UN and render sincere support to the just cause of the Korean people by organizing various events as we National Committees and APRCPRK have done before.

October 08 is the great historic day when 26 years back on October 08, 1997, Comrade KIM JONG IL was elected in the high post of the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea who brilliantly achieved the fresh successes in the revolution and construction of the country under his brilliant, courageous and practical Songun leadership as well as build WPK a vanguard of the nation to carry out bold decisions for all round development of the country.
Dear Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL will be remembered forever for his immortal deeds for peace, prosperity and independence of the nation and for the peace-loving progressive people of the world!
October 09:
9th October 2006 is a historic day for entire people of the world who treasure peace, justice and independence. The ever-happiest day for the progressive people, because this is the day when the DPR of Korea successfully tested its first nuclear power! Congratulations to the heroic Korea people and brilliant scientist under the courageous Songun leadership of the great men of sacred Mt. Peaktu.
October 10:
The great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG founded the Workers’ Party of Korea on October 10, 1945 and in October 10, 1980 the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo was founded for the independent and peaceful Reunification of Korea by President KIM IL SUNG.
Salute to the brilliant infallible leadership of great leader President KIM IL SUNG and his revolutionary feats which provided through the Party to the revolution of Korea and the reconstruction of the DPRK. Thanks to the wise and courageous Songun leadership of the great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL provided through the WPK to the Korean revolution.
Self-reliance, self-dignity, nationalism, patriotism, categorical stand on the independent development of the nation are some of the significant characteristics that can be learned by world leaders from the charismatic ideologies of great leader President KIM IL SUNG and from nationalist heroic struggle of the Korean people against the expansionist, dominations and neo-colonialist designs of the so-called superiors!
October 17:
October 17, Juche 15 (1926) the great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union after gathering nationalist youths to prepare armed struggle against the Gun of the barbaric colonial rule of the imperialists and to liberate Korea!
The Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) was the first revolutionary vanguard organization formed by nationalist leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG, the founding father of socialist Korea, 96 years ago. Korean people had ceaselessly waged various forms of struggles to regain their national sovereignty and independence after the military occupation by Japan (1905). They, however, had suffered repeated failure and frustration and because of lack of an outstanding leader and genuine vanguard organization.
Comrade KIM IL SUNG, who embarked on the struggle to save the destiny of his suffering nation in his teens, learnt a serious lesson from the preceding nationalism movement and early communist movement, and decided to take a way different from theirs. Leader KIM IL SUNG founded the DIU on October 17, 1927, with young people of new generation.
The DIU put it forward as its program to overthrow the Japanese imperialists, achieve Korea’s liberation and independence, build socialism and communism in Korea and further struggle for the global victory of communism after defeating imperialism. Under the leadership of Comrade KIM IL SUNG the Korean revolution which started with the formation of the DIU has made brisk headway along the road of independence, Songun and unity over the past 96 years. Independence is the fundamental principle and the basic stance of the Korean revolution upheld by the DIU.
