Powerful Treasure Sword for Defending Peace
Ten years from now, on March 31 2013, Comrade KIM JONG UN, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, put forward a new strategic line of promoting the economic construction and nuclear force build-up simultaneously as required by the prevailing situation and the development of the revolution in a plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’Party of Korea.
At that time, the US and its vassal forces found fault with the DPRK’s launching a peaceful satellite and cooked up UNSC ’s “Resolution on Sanction” to illegalize the lawful right of the sovereign state to launch a satellite. Theses are hostilities towards the DPRK.
When the DPRK conducted the 3rd self-defensive underground nuclear test on February 12 2013 as part of a practical measure to defend the national sovereignty and security, the US and other hostile forces made up a more severe “Resolution on Sanction” and waged joint military exercises named “Key Resolve” and “Eagle”involving colossal aggressive force and nuclear strike means, and thus drove the situation on the Korean peninsula to the worst.

In the plenary meeting, Comrade KIM JONG UN solemnly declared that the DPRK’s nuclear deterrence is a just means of defending the national sovereignty, preventing a war and safeguarding peace.
The US regards the Korean peninsula as the gate through which they can set foot on the Eurasian Continent from the west of the Pacific. From this geopolitical importance, the US has considered Korea “a bridge to the continent” in their attempt to “Americanize” the world and a “dagger” with which to cut off the “big lump of meat”-Asia, in order to realize their wild ambition to hold hegemony over the whole world. Accordingly the US has been ceaselessly aggressive to the DPRK.
That’s why, peace on the Korean peninsula is desired not only by the Korean people but the progressive peoples of the world. However, peace can’t be achieved by means of concession or begging and it is likely to be destroyed despite a determined will to defend it if a country lacks a strong military muscle.
Thanks to the wise leadership of Comrade KIM JONG UN, the DPRK has become a Juche-oriented nuclear power, a world-class military power.
The DPRK is firmly defending global peace and security by dint of the righteous nuclear.
In this world, some military powers boast of their strength but there is no such a world-level military power as the DPRK that possesses the invincible revolutionary army with nuclear force as its core, an independent and modern national defense industry with the capacity of developing cutting-edge strategic weapon systems entirely by their own effort and strength and the entire people engaged in military affairs.
But the course of its materialization was not smooth.
Coping with the ever-worsening economic sanctions and blockade and nuclear war threats by the hostile forces, the DPRK accomplished the historic cause of building the national nuclear force in the unprecedentedly short period in history under the seasoned leadership of Comrade KIM JONG UN.
The DPRK has steadily advanced along the road of its choice without being undaunted by the severest adversity. Those exciting events in the course of perfecting the building of the national nuclear force fully demonstrate the fact that Comrade KIM JONG UN's decision precisely means reality in the DPRK.
Therefore, an Internet website carried an article about the DPRK's powerful nuclear war deterrence as follows: DPRK is a nuclear weapon state! The infinite meaning implied by these words will magically bring boundless prosperity and happiness to them. … DPRK has now had its place in the rank of big powers.
The Juche Korea will further display its dignity and might as a fortress of peace, as long as its powerful nuclear sword remains.
