February 08:
On February 08, 1945, the great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG founded the Korean People’s Army, the main force of the national defense capabilities. Heroic Korean People’s Army is much honored and well-known to the world for its extraordinary skills and dedication to saving the dignity, sovereignty, and integrity of the DPRK in a very crucial situation too under the brilliant leadership of great leaders.
It is a historical fact that on April 25, 1932, great Leader KIM IL SUNG founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army on the way to liberate Korea from Japanese colonial occupation with his brilliant Supreme Commandership on August 15, 1945.

The great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL was honored with the title of the DPRK Generalissimo.
February 16:
February 16, Juche 112 (2023) marks the 81st Birth Anniversary of the great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, Eternal General Secretary of the Workers’ party of Korea.
The Korean people observe this occasion as the nation’s greatest holiday the Day of the Shining Star which the world’s people advocating the cause of independence and justice, also view as a great occasion for celebration.
Born on Mt. Paektu, the sacred Mountain of the Korean revolution leader KIM JONG IL grew up in the flames of the anti-Japanese war and worked with the great leader President KIM IL SUNG for many years as his greatest Comrade-in-arms and most faithful assistant in advancing the revolution and construction.
Today His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, the Supreme leader of the Korean people is carrying forward the revolutionary cause pioneered by President KIM IL SUNG and General Secretary Comrade KIM JONG IL and is demonstrating its might to the whole world as a country of Juche, a country of Songun.
Apart from the special days in the month of February, there are THREE special and significant celebrations this year that should be taken into high consideration by APRCPRK and all of us to celebrate in a grand manner:
ONE:
As we all know the historical report of His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN --" in accordance with the army-building orientations put forward at the 8th Party Congress, it is necessary to make the year 2023 marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation |war and the 60th anniversary of advancement of the slogan "A Match-for-a-hundred" as a year of strengthening the political and ideological might of the armed forces of the Republic in every way and a year of bringing about a change in making preparations to mobilize for war and enhancing the actual war capacity."
So, 27th July 2023 will be a significant 70th anniversary of the great Fatherland Liberation and celebration of Victory Day for the Korean people and the entire peace-loving progressive people of the world not only from a historical but also from a contemporary perspective as the military might of US hegemonism and its hostile policies against the Korean people and its beloved socialist system remains a constant threat.
TWO:
On September 09, 2023, the Korean people and the world\\\\\\'s progressive and peace-loving people will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the glorious Democratic People\\\\\\'s Republic of Korea by great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG on September 09, 1948, a great historical event for the emancipation of the whole working masses of the world.
THREE:
This year 2023, on October 10, the Korean People are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the Worker\\'s Party of Korea by great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG on October 10, 1945.
The Workers\\' Party of Korea prestigiously recorded its 75-year-long history with victory because the Korean people single-mindedly rallied behind the Party and its leader.
Let us express and extend our firm support and solidarity to the Korean people\\\\\\'s just struggle to build a thriving nation of socialism and achieve the historic cause of national reunification with the might of single-minded unity.
