Appeal to the World's Peace-Loving People

Progressive peoples of the world who love the justice and peace,

We, representatives of friendship & solidarity organizations with the Korean people, and peace-loving organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, held the Enlarged ZOOM Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (APRCPRK) to commemorate this meaningful year in which we mark the 50th anniversary that President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, put forth the three principles – independence, peace, and grand national unity – the great reunification program of the Korean nation.

The meeting had an in-depth analysis and review of the fifty-year struggle of the Korean people since the publication of the historic July 4th North-South Joint Statement based on the three principles for the national reunification, the activities of the APRCPRK for the last ten years since its formation in support of it, and current situation on the Korean peninsula. On the basis of that, we, with a renewed appreciation of the importance of the reunification of Korea in ensuring the peace and security of the North East Asia and that of the world, call upon the world's peace-loving people as follows:

Let's have the U.S. and its vassal forces withdraw their hostile policy against the DPRK, filth of the cold war of last century, while conducting more vigorously the international solidarity movements to ensure a durable peace on the Korean peninsula!

The split of the Korean nation is forced by foreign forces in every respect, and the unstable situation on the Korean peninsula is also a result of anachronistic hostile policy of U.S. and its vassal forces against the DPRK and an annual nuclear war drills staged in south Korea by deploying vast military force of aggression and strategic nuclear assets.

The Korean people today are certainly not people who repelled the armed invasion of the imperialist allied forces in the 50s of last century by the young armed forces but it is a fact patent to the public that peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the North East Asia are firmly safeguarded by the DPRK equipped with the powerful self-reliant defense capabilities recognized by the world.

Let us, anyone who wishes for the peace and stability of the world, join in with due concern the efforts to dissolve the U.S. – led " United Nations Command", a tool of aggravation of situation on the Korean peninsula and withdraw the military force of aggression in south Korea, while urging a complete termination of all sorts of aggressive joint military exercises.

A just international order can never be established and peace is hard to settle in this world if we connive at and allow the maneuvers to win hegemony by resorting to the hostile one-sided policy, accompanied with politico-military threat and economic blockade against ones who have different  idea and system and adhere to the line of independence.

Let us launch a widespread drive to expose roundly to the international community the unjust, unlawful and dangerous nature of all the hostile policies against the DPRK pursued by the U.S. and its vassal forces, and to build up the public opinion so as to give a blow at false propaganda of the western mass media that incites all the groundless and biased hostile feelings against the Korean people.

Let's extend positive support and solidarity with the Korean people in their just struggle to build an ideal society of humankind that the world progressive peoples aspire after and to achieve independent reunification braving all kinds of challenges and difficulties of history resolutely!

This year the friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people, anti-war & peace-loving organizations, and international democratic organizations from the five continents of the world organized and held the international E-seminars, online photo exhibitions and online celebration forums on the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Leader Kim Jong Il under the close communication and cooperation among themselves to highly praise the great leaders of the Korean people and give wide publicity to the advantages and vitality of the people-centered Korean style socialism.

Let all the world progressive peoples like friendship & solidarity organizations with the Korean people in different countries launch the more dynamic activities to introduce the miraculous reality of Korea and the heroic efforts of the Korean people who are pushing ahead with building a thriving socialist nation under the banner of self-reliance and self-development and to develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK.

Today, the Korean people are making world-startling and miraculous achievements day by day under the prominent and seasoned guidance of His Excellency Kim Jong Un in their efforts to safeguard peace and security of the region and that of the world, to achieve the independent reunification of the country and to undertake the grand program for the comprehensive development of socialism, the ideal of humankind, despite all kinds of challenges and difficulties of history.

Let us render positive support for and solidarity with the Korean people in their just and resourceful efforts to safeguard the sovereignty and dignity of the country, happiness of people and peace and security of the Korean peninsula as well as the measures to build up the self-defense capabilities.

Let us step up with the solidarity activities widely on the global scale in support for the struggle of the Korean people to achieve the independent reunification of the country without fail by holding fast to Three Principles of the National Reunification, Proposal for Founding Koryo Democratic Confederation and 10-point Program for Grand National Unity as Three Charters.

For the present, let us expand to the regional and global scale the signature campaign for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea which is on-going as initiated by the Philippines-Korea Solidarity and Friendship Association.

The figures of the political and public circles who aspire after independence and love justice and peace always stand together with the Korean people, and the justice of history belong to us finally.

We, conscious of our responsibilities and mission, remain confident that the whole world progressive peoples aspiring after a new world of freedom, prosperity and peace will surely extend absolute support and solidarity with the just cause of the Korean people.
