A Letter of Condolence for the Demise of Comrade Peter Woods

We, with a heavy heart we received sad news that Mr. Peter Woods, the most respected comrade of us, passed away all of sudden.

Mr. Peter Woods, for more than 20 years since 2000, devoted on a regional and international arena to support the Korean people in their just cause, assuming the promoting of independent and peaceful reunification of Korea as his noble mission.

The fact that the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea is fully revamped and revitalized like one today as a healthy and proactive united front coalition is an outcome of energetic dedication of Mr. Peter Woods who demonstrated the outstanding leadership to rally around all the organizations of like-minds in the region, advocating inclusivity of all.

Mr. Peter Woods as a national patron of the Australia-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society, made active contribution to the Society’s work, in particular, to further boosting and elevating the friendship activities of the branch in Sydney, while fully displaying his brilliant ability as an excellent and inspirational mentor to strengthen the ranks of the Society and enhancing its influence and profile in Australia.

We remember Peter as a man as a man of great enthusiasm and humor, who remind faithful to our common cause to the last moment of his life by working out what's needed without fail at any circumstances. We believe that Mr. Peter Woods, as a such great soul, and the dearest friend of the Korea People representing the progressive both in Australia and New Zealand shall remain in our minds and hearts forever, as well as severing as a great model to follow by those in the regional and international solidarity movement in support the independent cause of Korea and inspiring us in this course of struggle.

It is indeed a great loss for our joint activities that the we lost such a trustful comrade like Peter Woods all of sudden and too early.

Expressing our deepest condolences to his family members, we sincerely hope that the bereaved, friends and comrades of Peter Woods, member and supporters of Australia-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society, his international friend both in the regional and world who respected him much would recover from the pain of great loss at the earliest possible date and continue working even with great enthusiasm to fulfill the lifelong mission of Peter.
